During Covid-19, the Quick Response Team has remained steadfast in its dedication to continue to connect overdose survivors and their loved ones to treatment. QRT has been committed to working with local community partners to ensure continuity of care. QRT has created more of an online presence through Facebook and Instagram, in addition to meeting overdose survivors in the community to supply them with Naloxone Kits. 

We are seeing an increase in overdoses since March 2020, and believe that the pandemic has been difficult for our community. Increased triggers to use are extremely prevalent such as social isolation, difficulty connecting to treatment, and financial strains have taken a toll on many, and we find that letting people know that treatment is available is more important than ever.  -Buffy Hughes Taylor, LCSW, LCAS, CSI, VSP
